16th September (MILAN, Italy): Celebrated independent studio 3DClouds is delighted to announce an all-new original driving survival game coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S next year, introducing AfterZero: The Last Drive.
AfterZero: The Last Drive is a story-driven single-player experience which takes place in a post-industrial wasteland that has been suddenly plunged into a seemingly endless winter. Players are tasked with venturing out into this hostile world with only their upgradable off-road vehicle to help them as they scavenge for resources, upgrade vehicle tools and abilities (grappling hook, EMP and more), provide refuge and assist fellow survivors and ultimately flee to safety.
The announcement trailer for this chilling new open-world debuted during the Galaxies Showcase early today and can be viewed below.
“AfterZero: The Last Drive’s oppressive atmosphere and somewhat unforgiving campaign is a big departure for us at 3DClouds,” explained 3DClouds CEO, Francesco Bruschi, whose studio previously released acclaimed hit Formula Legends, Xenon Racer and more. “However AfterZero’s gameplay mix of exploration, puzzle solving, upgradeable car and base elements and frozen peril creates an experience which we feel is unlike anything else out there in the gaming world.”

- TAME THE FROZEN WASTELAND
The world is gone. The Frostfall left humanity scattered, buried beneath ice and snow. Behind the wheel of your fully upgradeable off road vehicle ‘Old Grizzly’, accompanied only by your small drone ‘T3DDY’, and the voices of your fellow survivors crackling through the radio, you venture out into the frozen wasteland. Your only chance may be Sunnyland, a mysterious refuge where the cold is said to be less severe. Scavenge items, repair the area’s old locomotive and make your way to salvation.
- UPGRADE YOUR VEHICLE
Out in the open world, everything you need is buried somewhere beneath the ice. Take your vehicle into abandoned cities, frozen lakes, and mountain forests and scavenge what you can to improve your base and craft new tools like grappling hooks, ice tires, nitrogen guns - and push further into the unknown.But the cold doesn't wait. Night falls. Storms emerge. Supplies run low. How far will you go before turning back.
- PROVIDE REFUGE TO SURVIVORS
Back at the Firewall, a safe haven from the harsh weather and threats of the wasteland, the survivors need food, medicine, and heat, while the train needs to be repaired. Work with Pops, Nova, and Sak to keep the camp alive, improve your gear, and prepare for the next expedition. Everyone is waiting for you to come back.
- ESCAPE WITH THE TRUTH
Everything around you is frozen but maybe the rest of the world isn’t? An old AI controls machines scattered across the wasteland. Hack them, disable them and exploit their glitches. Who or what is controlling this AI? How can you escape?
