AUSTIN, TX & BRASILIA, BRAZIL - March 20, 2025 - Today during the GamesRadar+ Future Games Show, Mad Mushroom and the developers at Rogue Snail unveiled a brand new trailer for Hell Clock, the upcoming Exile-like and rogue-like action RPG. Check out the trailer here: https://youtu.be/kGa_1P-u6ZY.
A new Hell Clock demo is now available for all to play on Steam - grab it now to start delving into the dungeons of hell!
Initially revealed in December, players who took part in the previous Hell Clock playtest will find much more to sink their teeth into in the demo, including full controller and WASD movement support. Rogue Snail can also confirm that an English voiceover option will be available at launch. For more information on what’s new and what has changed in the game and demo, check out the Steam blog from the dev team.
Hell Clock begs the question “What if a Path of Exile league or Diablo IV season only took 20 minutes?!” In this relentless and fast-paced combination of roguelike and ARPG, you’ll forge powerful builds with endless loot as you blast through dungeons and unleash powers both divine and demonic.
Hell Clock will transport players to the old settlement of Canudos in Brazil’s northeastern state of Bahia. This was the site of one of the bloodiest chapters in Brazil’s past: the War of Canudos (1896-1897), where the newly formed Brazilian Republic massacred 25,000 men, women, and children for their political and religious beliefs. In Hell Clock, Canudos is transformed into a dark and twisted purgatory that recalls the horrors of the war and has become a battleground between history and the supernatural.
In Rogue Snail’s fast-paced ARPG, the War of Canudos was secretly a battle between Heaven and Hell. Players will take on the role of Pajeú, the Clockmaker, returning to Canudos to save the soul of his mentor and seek the truth of the massacre. Pajeú becomes trapped by the Hell Clock in a repeating cycle, descending into hell time and again to face the demons of Brazil’s past, present, and future.
