Auris is a 2D Puzzle platformer where you play as a blind kid. Use echolocation to see objects, solve puzzles, fight enemies, and uncover hidden paths. Find your mother and help other trapped kids along your way out of the evil lab facility.
With no vision, echolocation is the only way to navigate the Wortex Research Institute. Jumping and walking make sounds that allow you to visualize the world around you. Sometimes, the facility will require you to remain silent, so make as little noise as possible.
The facility is highly dangerous and filled with traps. Being aware of your surroundings and staying cautious at all times is essential if you want to escape. Don't miss important items, and always check the platform before jumping onto it.
You are not the only person trapped in this evil facility. Other kids and their relatives are also in danger, unaware of what awaits them. Find your way out, but don't leave the others behind; they might help you in the future.
Be prepared to face bats, rats, and mutated creatures that await you on your way out. Sometimes, their behavior is predictable, and you can use their actions to your advantage.
Your mother has been taken by the lab personnel for medical treatment, but the nature of the facility suggests that something is off about the kind of treatment people receive here. Find your mother and escape together.

About the developer (Hippo Games)
Hippo Games is a team of four blending Game Development, Engineering, Music, and Narrative: a multi Game Jam winning CS graduate, an NYU CS student, a musician with 140K+ monthly Spotify listeners, and a top student from Adam Dolin’s ELVTR Game Narrative course.
