NIMRODS Launches “Bzz Battle Update” with New Character, Weapons, Biome, and More

July 23, 2025 — Indie studio Fiveamp has released the Bzz Battle Update for NIMRODS, the chaotic roguelite where players craft insane weapons and fight alien hordes.
 

This free update introduces Bzz, a brand-new playable character with unique weapons, abilities, and a new biome to explore.
 

Key Features in the Bzz Battle Update:
 

  • New Character: Unlock Bzz and take on the swarm using tools like Liftoff and Honey Blaster.

  • New Weapons: Wield the bee-themed Bzz Gun chassis and five wild variants.

  • New Biome: Explore Bzz’s Hollow and the expanded Infested Plateau.

  • New Augments & Tuning System: Customize deeper with new Stocks and character Tunings for powerful synergies.

  • Quality of Life Upgrades: New UI improvements, gun previews, unlock indicators, and Steam Rich Presence support.

The update also includes new quests, a new achievement, balance changes, performance improvements, and a reworked minimap system.
 

NIMRODS is available now in Early Access on Steam. The Bzz Battle Update is live and free for all players.
