In Cotton Reboot!, gamers have a choice of different versions of the game to enjoy. Choose to go old school with a pixel perfect rendition of the original X68000 mode, retaining the graphics, sound and gameplay just as you remember, or for those yearning for a fresh update, play in HD Reboot mode, bringing enhanced visuals, a remixed soundtrack and slick, smooth gameplay to modern audiences.
Cotton Reboot! also includes the appropriately named Nightmare Mode. Not for the faint of heart, here players hungry to prove themselves can put their skills to the test as they chase high scores with a challenge that will test even the fastest of fingers. Rebalanced with score chasing in mind, in Nightmare Mode, new enemies significantly ramp up the challenge, while powering up for awesome screen-clearing attacks is made easier. Cotton Reboot! Brings even more to the party with the additions of two new Super Attacks, as well as former DLC characters in the form of Appli and Needle, now added to the game. All new voice recordings have been implemented, bringing the game to life, and a new Time Attack mode offers even more ways for gamers to test their reflexes.
Cotton Reboot! launches today via digital download on Nintendo® Switch™2 and PlayStation®5, with physical versions launching on December 10:
