Ukrainian studio RetroStyle Games has announced Flame and Blame, a first-person co-op physics comedy for 1 to 4 players, coming to Steam in 2027. Up to four friends suit up as the least qualified firefighters ever to hold a hose, in a town that will not stop catching fire. Before today's reveal, with no marketing and no press, the Steam page already gathered more than 10,000 wishlists and 4,000 playtest sign-ups from a handful of organic creator videos.
GAME OVERVIEW
The town is on fire. Again. Someone called for professionals and got you instead. Flame and Blame is a first-person co-op physics comedy where up to 4 friends suit up as the least qualified firefighters ever to hold a hose. Drive the truck, blast the fire, rescue the panda, and blame each other when it all goes up in smoke.
ANSWER THE CALL
Suit up at the station, grab your gear, and rush to the scene. Hook your hose up to the nearest hydrant and open fire on the fire.
FIGHT THE FIRE, LOSE TO PHYSICS
Blast the fire with wild hoses that throw you across the room, smash through doors and walls with your axe, and flood a whole house just to save one lucky plant. Watch out for live wires, gas, and the odd fire tornado, because the fire is the least of your problems.
SAVE EVERYONE, SOMEHOW
Drag civilians out of the smoke, slap on an oxygen mask, and bring them back. Rescue pets, houseplants, and one extremely confused panda. Bounce someone to safety off a trampoline if you have to. Just get everyone clear before the whole block goes up.
KEY FEATURES
• 1 to 4 player online co-op, fully playable solo, built around teamwork that collapses on contact with a burning building.
• Physics-driven firefighting: hoses with real recoil, axes that go through doors and walls, and water that ruins as much as it saves.
• Hazards beyond the flames: live wires, gas, structural collapse and fire tornadoes.
• Rescue anything that moves and several things that do not: civilians, pets, houseplants, and one extremely confused panda.
• Share the hose, the axe, and the blame. Bad at fires. Great at friendship.
• 20 supported languages, including Simplified Chinese and Ukrainian.
JOIN THE PLAYTEST
Playtest sign-ups are open on the Steam page, and the first public playtest is planned for December 2026. Wishlisting on the same page notifies players the moment the game is out.
