DRONE DISTRICT demo arrives on Steam

An arcade drone aerobatics and racing game that's easy to pick up for beginners and gives pro-pilots a fun challenge

Poland, October 8 2025 - Warsaw-based, newly-formed indie game development outfit, Super Duper Vibes, announces a new demo launch for its Drone District, an approachable, arcade FPV drone game that takes its inspiration from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and Burnout Paradise.

There's quite a few FPV drone flight simulation games out there, but for someone with little to none experience flying a drone (be it real-life one or virtual) their steep learning curve can ruin the players' fantasy of free flight and wild aerobatics. The small indie team behind Drone District set its aim to create a drone game that will be as easy to pick up for non-pilots as Forza Horizon is for non-drivers. Then they imbued it with mind-blowing chainable tricks like rail grinds, slides, rolls, flips, and everything that comes to mind and unleashed the player onto a THPS-like open playground of a map, where there's a new goal, race, or challenge at every corner. Then they added bullet-time.

Super Duper Vibes wants Drone District to be an entryway game to the world of FPV simulation titles. After a short tutorial the player will be able to enjoy the freedom of drone flight in arcade controls mode. Once they are ready to perform more advanced tricks they'll be able to temporarily switch mid-game to pro controls mode at a press of a button, and when they get comfortable with piloting a drone a permanent pro-mode and a faster, more challenging drone awaits them. The game was designed to be easy to pick up by beginners and provide fun, diverse challenges to experienced players.

The game is playable with an Xbox / PlayStation controller by default, and supports SteamDeck controls. Real-life drone pilots will be able to utilize their radio controllers with Drone District. Most leading brands are already supported with fully-configurable layouts, and support for more devices is underway.

The game will launch into Early Access (at a substantially reduced price for early adopters) in late November 2025. An extensive demo is already available on Steam, ahead of Valve's October Steam Next Fest event.
