[Budapest, 2025] — Independent VR studio XREAL Games today confirmed that its upcoming PCVR shooter Zero Caliber 2 will launch on Steam, Thursday, October 30, 2025.
The Zero Caliber series is recognized for its immersive weapon handling, gritty cooperative gameplay, and cinematic action. With Zero Caliber 2, XREAL Games is raising the bar, delivering what it calls the “ultimate VR shooter package.”
The Ultimate VR Shooter Package
Zero Caliber 2 has been rebuilt from the ground up for PCVR, with the studio’s signature features:
- A complete single-player campaign
- Online Co-op for up to 4 players
- Competitive PvP modes
- Character progression and customization
- Fleshed-out weapon customization and realistic physics
PCVR releases have become increasingly rare, especially on this scale. XREAL Games notes that taking on such a project is a daring feat for an independent studio - but the team is determined to carry the torch for full-scale VR shooters and give PCVR players a title worth rallying around.
Pricing Still to Be Determined
The launch price of Zero Caliber 2 has not yet been finalized. XREAL Games is running a wishlist milestone campaign, meaning the final price on release day will be set based on how many players wishlist the game before October 30.
Zero Caliber VR Coming to PSVR2
Alongside the Steam release of Zero Caliber 2, XREAL Games also announced progress on the PSVR2 version of the original Zero Caliber VR, which has now entered certification. The studio describes it as being in the “finish line” of development, with more details to follow soon.
Zero Caliber VR on PSVR2 brings the series to PlayStation players for the first time, marking a major milestone for XREAL and expanding the franchise to a new audience. PlayStation players can already wishlist Zero Caliber VR on the PlayStation Store ahead of launch.
