London, England – June 6th, 2025 — "Rising Star" indie game developer Spilt Milk Studios has shown off several of the accessibility features for their recently released wholesome shopkeeping game Trash Goblin as part of this year’s Access-Ability Summer Showcase, an event dedicated to showcasing ways that video games can improve accessibility for players with disabilities
At Spilt Milk, it’s important that goblins of all sorts can enjoy the zen practice of restoring trinkets for their community. That’s why we’ve incorporated a wide range of accessibility features. These include a Dirt Highlighter, to make scrubbing trinkets easier for color vision deficient players; a Quest Tracker to make customer requests easier to stay on top of; and of course, the TrinketPedia, which handily keeps track of every trinket you’ve found, cleaned, upcycled and sold. There’s also an option to rotate trinkets with the WASD keys at whatever speed suits you best, and you can even change the camera movement speed and toggle camera edge movement to customize how you like to kick back in your shop.
This is on top of everything revealed at last year’s Access-Ability Summer Showcase, which includes accessibility features ranging from scrubbing your goods without holding down a button, to auto-chiseling, to an array of text and audio settings. Trash Goblin uses a clean and readable sans-serif typeface with user-defined sizing, and the text will stay on screen until you’ve confirmed you’re ready to move on. In fact, there’s no time pressure or fail states at all in Trash Goblin, so you can relax and enjoy the tactile, scrunchy and satisfying mechanics at your own pace!
