IRVINE, Calif. (May 12, 2025) – Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. today announced that its legendary fighting game, TEKKEN™ 8, has teamed-up with Sony Pictures’ upcoming motion picture Karate Kid: Legends for an in-game global collaboration. A first-ever film collaboration for TEKKEN 8, players are invited to “Unleash Your Inner Warrior” through exclusive in-game content that celebrates the spirit and legacy of Karate Kid: Legends. The new content will appear in the game version 2.02 update coming on June 2, 2025. TEKKEN 8 is available now on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam®. The initiative marks the first film collaboration for TEKKEN 8. Once the content is live in the game, players can unlock a limited-time Karate Kid: Legends Hoodie that will be available for free in the TEKKEN™ Shop. This wearable item channels the classic determination and grit of the iconic Karate Kid martial arts franchise, giving fighters a bold new way to represent their warrior spirit. In addition, the Urban Square stage in TEKKEN 8 will be updated to feature Karate Kid: Legends movie billboards, and the TEKKEN Fight Lounge will also receive a thematic update, with signage and an in-game trailer to spotlight the upcoming film. Karate Kid: Legends is slated to debut in US/Canadian theatres on May 30, 2025, and will open in international markets starting May 8.

Karate Kid: Legends unites the iconic martial arts masters of one of the most beloved film franchises of all time to tell a completely new story full of action and heart. When kung fu prodigy Li Fong (Ben Wang) relocates to New York City with his mother to attend a prestigious new school, he finds solace in a new friendship with a classmate and her father.
