Solo developer André Lima of Cotovelo Games today announced that the idle/incremental game Now THAT'S a Big Dragon! is participating in Steam Next Fest: June 2026 Edition, running June 15 through June 22, 2026. To mark the occasion, a major demo update featuring a new (almost) endless mode goes live the moment the festival opens, giving players who loved the demo adventure an opportunity to play for a bit longer.
The free Steam demo has already built strong momentum, drawing coverage from major YouTubers and streamers, amounting to a combined view count of over 300,000 views.
In Now THAT'S a Big Dragon!, your home kingdom is in danger, and it's up to you to recruit and expand an ever-growing band of brave warriors, wizards, and all sorts of adventurers who relentlessly attack a single, gigantic dragon. The game is a numbers-driven idle experience: buy more troops, upgrade their power, automate your economy, and click the dragon yourself for bonus damage. Along the way, players dive into a dungeon-crawling minigame and uncover the story behind the towering beast. The current demo offers roughly 50 minutes of curated gameplay, and with the new endless mode, dedicated players can keep climbing well beyond it.
The Steam Next Fest update is the culmination of a steady stream of patches focused on performance (smoother play in the dungeon sections and during longer sessions), a balancing pass based on demo feedback, and quality-of-life fixes.
Steam Next Fest: June 2026 Edition is a multi-day celebration where fans can try out demos, chat with developers, watch live streams, and learn about upcoming games on Steam. For developers, it's an opportunity to gather early feedback from players and build an audience ahead of a future launch.
