June 10, 2026 – Laguna Hills, California – Following its appearance at a series of Summer Game Fest events, Black Hand has released the Steam demo for The Dark West today. Set in a land consumed by greed and black magic, this new ARPG blends occult western horror with classic isometric action. The demo highlights the game’s early progression by encouraging experimentation with different builds through a mix of gear, cards, and talents.
The demo introduces Kane, the Gunslinger, a fast mid-range class built around revolvers, precision reloads, burst damage, and relentless mobility. His kit allows bullets to chain between enemies, entire cylinders to be emptied in seconds, shadow movement to create sudden repositioning, and spectral echoes to repeat every shot fired. The result is a combat style that constantly shifts between calculated discipline and reckless aggression.
“The Dark West is more than just a western skin over a classic ARPG,” said the Game Director at Black Hand. “The goal was to build a world where the setting and the mechanics reinforce one another, where guns, gambling, black magic, and character progression all pull in the same direction.”
