NewGen Studio and Take It Studio team up to bring the atmospheric psychological horror experience to consoles following growing interest across Asia
Tunis, Tunisia - September 28, 2026 - NewGen Studio and Take It Studio are bringing TOYCRAFTER, the atmospheric psychological horror crafting experience, to Xbox, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on October 1, 2026.
Since it’s PC release,, TOYCRAFTER has received Very Positive reviews from players on steam, while also gaining attention from players and creators across South Korea and Japan. The upcoming console release marks a new milestone for the game, expanding its unsettling workshop experience to a new audience worldwide.
In TOYCRAFTER, players take on the role of a craftsman working alone inside an isolated workshop. What begins as an unusual crafting project gradually becomes something far more unsettling. Players cut, paint, assemble, and customize dolls while strange details begin to emerge around them.
Rather than relying on traditional combat or constant jumpscares, TOYCRAFTER builds its horror through atmosphere, sound, isolation, and uncertainty. The workshop itself becomes the source of tension, encouraging players to pay attention to their surroundings and question what they are seeing.
“Bringing TOYCRAFTER to consoles is an exciting milestone for us” said NewGen Studio. “The reception from players and creators, especially in Korea and Japan, has been incredibly encouraging. We’re excited to give console players the opportunity to step into the workshop for themselves.” Said the dev team.
The console versions are being developed through a collaboration between NewGen Studio and Take It Studio, expanding the game's availability beyond its original PC release.
