‘Sixtar Gate: STARTRAIL’ announces collaboration with ‘WACCA’, famed Japanese rhythm game by Marvelous!

Global game publisher CFK (headed by Chang-sik Koo) is proud to announce today (April 25th, 2023) that Starlike Inc.'s rhythm game Sixtar Gate: STARTRAIL, positively rated on both Steam and Nintendo Switch™, will be hosting a collaboration event, WACCA & Sixtar Gate: STARTRAIL, with WACCA, a rhythm game put out by the Japanese entertainment company Marvelous.
WACCA is a popular arcade rhythm game created by Japanese entertainment company Marvelous in collaboration with indie record label HARDCORE TANO*C, officially released in July of 2019 in Japan after its first debut at various events including the 2019 Japan Amusement Expo. With its first January 2020 update, WACCA S, the September 2020 update, WACCA Lily, and the final update, WACCA Reverse, in August of 2022, this game is jam-packed with all sorts of features.
Featuring a 360° touch panel allowing for three-dimensional gameplay, a colorful LED display allowing for greater immersion, and simple rulings for a wide variety of movements, WACCA has attracted a large fan base and features a number of popular songs from the HARDCORE TANO*C label, including works from artists and DJs like t+pazolite, DJ Genki, and REDALiCE.
Sixtar Gate: STARTRAIL, the other half of this WACCA collaboration, is a key-based rhythm game centered around a theme of space travel, featuring a music-filled story mode, colorful visuals for each of its featured songs, and a dash of charm with cute travel partner/mascot, Shii. This game was released to Steam Early Access on November 6th, 2021, and the Nintendo Switch™ version, added on March 16th, 2023, only fanned the flames of its popularity.
It now contains an impressive tracklist of popular songs that fans of rhythm games will not want to miss, including songs by famed composers who have been featured in the Beatmania (Bemani) series, original songs by famous artists, new arrangements of familiar songs featured in Touhou Project spin-off games, and more.
The WACCA & Sixtar Gate: STARTRAIL collaboration is slated to be released to both the Steam and Nintendo Switch™ versions of Sixtar Gate: STARTRAIL at the same time. With the addition of a new theme, popular songs from the game, and more, this update flavoring Sixtar Gate: STARTRAIL with elements from WACCA is expected to draw a lot of hype from fans and gamers alike.
To celebrate the announcement of the WACCA & Sixtar Gate: STARTRAIL collaboration, CFK has also released the official teaser for the coming update.
