Falls Church, VA –March 7, 2025 – Indie game development studio Shademare has announced that Scarlet City of Devils, a demon-punk hack-and-slash adventure game, is now available on Steam. A downloadable demo version of the game is also available.
Scarlet City of Devils is a 2D Metroidvania with Soulslike combat, offering 5–9 hours of exploration through the war-torn streets of Elovelle. Six unique movement-based weapons are scattered across the city, allowing for fluid, dynamic combat. After completing the game, players can test their skills in Boss Rush Mode for an extra challenge.
Elovelle is a city consumed by chaos, where fractured demon clans battle for dominance over the legendary Fountain of Elovelle. The Knights of Virtue, the city's most notorious faction, have seized the fountain, fortifying it to harness its powerful Essence. As rival clans wage war, the city spirals further into violence and ferality.
Amid the turmoil, one individual dares to challenge fate, seeking to heal the city's shattered heart.
