Toronto, ON (August 5, 2025) — Independent developer AcrylByte today announced Gigantes Ex Machina, an intense roguelite mecha action game, will launch in Early Access on PC via Steam starting August 5. Combining visceral combat, anime-inspired storytelling, and strategic roguelite progression, the game challenges players to pilot war machines called "Gigas" and survive humanity’s darkest hour. Full controller support is available at launch.
Set in a dystopian future where endless war between nations and megacorporations has awakened the ancient weapon Gaia, Gigantes Ex Machina casts players as a candidate "Anima"—a potential pilot of cutting-edge Gigas technology. As chaos looms, Anima awakens in a fractured world where survival is uncertain, and rebellion is a whisper in the smoke.
Played from a top-down perspective familiar to action and strategy fans, Gigantes Ex Machina blends fast-paced mecha combat with unforgiving roguelite difficulty to deliver a rewarding solo experience. Players will choose from a growing roster of unique Gigas classes—including Balanced, High-Speed, and Tank-type units—each with specialized weapon systems and tactical advantages.
Anime-style visuals and high-impact effects bring every battle to life with dynamic flair—like watching missiles curl through the sky in a brutal ballet of fire and steel. Featuring full voice acting and cinematic storytelling, the game pays tribute to classics like Mobile Suit and BattleMech, while imagining what the iconic Itano Circus might look like in a top-down perspective.
Early Access launches with multiple chapters, playable Gigas units, and localized language support in English, Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Brazilian Portuguese, and Turkish. Additional content and languages will be rolled out through frequent updates.
