Psychological horror adventure, Nascence is creeping out the shadows with its first demo - preview keys available now

Independent developers Dreampainters Software, in collaboration with Treehouse Studio, are excited to offer the first playable experience of their upcoming psychological horror adventure, Nascence

Nascence is set to release towards the end of 2021. The first demo showcases the game's environmental puzzles, allowing you to explore the opening section of Reluné, the rural Italian village where Nascence’s story unfolds.

Nascence puts you in the shoes of Thomas, a man on a mission to find the ashes of Anna, a woman who was executed as a witch during medieval times. This heartless act has left a ripple through time, as Reluné has been linked with multiple cases of personality change, connected with a pagan cult that was born around the figure of “The Lady”.

Unraveling the secrets of Reluné will require you to solve a variety of puzzles. From finding clues through photography development to re-creating spiritual sites, both the puzzles and environments of Nascence add to the storytelling of the main narrative.

Nascence is set in the same universe of “Anna”, a 2013 psychological horror developed by Dreampainters Software. Nascence is the first installment of Anna’s Song, a trilogy of games set in the “Anna” universe.

The first demo focuses solely on puzzle solving, showcasing some of the game's early interactions with the environment. Some key mechanics from the final version are missing, but will be present in a later open demo (June/July 2021). Some of these features include:

-Enemies are not implemented
-The demo does have some invisible wall preventing freedom of exploration
-The underground areas are not accessible
-The intro for the demo is a work in progress
