IRVINE, CA – June 25, 2026 – Following recent events in Los Angeles, CA., and Seoul, Korea to promote its upcoming MMORPG, AION 2, leading publisher and developer NC (formerly NCSOFT) is taking its popular player dev-videos global. The development team that once addressed the Korean and Taiwanese markets is now communicating its plans globally, inviting players to join into the conversation and follow their campaign through launch and beyond. AION 2 launches on PC (Steam, PURPLE) this September.
In the developer-led video released today, Game Director Nam-Joon Kim, Head of AION 2 Global Publishing In-Sub So, and Executive Publishing Producer Merv Lee Kwai discussed the game’s core features, the connection between the original AION and AION 2, and the team’s gameplay designs and goals.
Setting itself apart from traditional MMORPGs, AION 2’s key features include full 3D flight, aerial combat, and more than 200 unique dungeons to explore. It offers an extraordinarily deep character creation tool, remarkable wings in a variety of designs, a diverse pet system (that doubles as a traditional mount system), improved PvE and PvP gameplay from the original AION, and the game’s deep storyline and lore.
