7 February 2023 - Indie game developer Baykal Arts encourages everyone to try and enjoy the demo for Ashen Knights: One Passage, the prologue to their debut project called Ashen Knights: Foreshadow. The studio launched the demo at Steam Next Fest 2023. It’s the very first version of the game available to the general public. Any Steam user is able to download it from the official Ashen Knights: One Passage Steam page.
The demo showcases the core gameplay features of Ashen Knights: One Passage. While playing, gamers will experience the drastic difference in combat styles of the two protagonists: the dynamic hack’n’slash of Primos and the challenging meditative souls-like of Evelin. Nothing is the same for the two knights: their fighting styles, abilities, enemies, and even the locations they explore vary wildly. Still, the dark secrets they share knit them together. All of these, along with a number of puzzles and secrets, scattered throughout a grim dark fantasy world are already available to play and enjoy for every gamer with a valid Steam account.
The demo will be available until February 16th. Along with it, Baykal Arts released a new game trailer on the Ashen Knights Steam pages, and their YouTube channel. Interested players can follow the news, playtest announcements, and releases by subscribing to the game's official communities or by adding games to their Steam wishlists.
Ashen Knights: One Passage is scheduled for release on Steam for free during the first half of 2023. Ashen Knights: Foreshadow will be released on Steam later in 2023.
