Tobaririum, a Japanese indie game team, has launched the Steam store page for the dark exploration adventure game Tobari and the Vampire Alchemist. The game is scheduled for release in early summer 2027.
More Than a Benefactor, Less Than Prey
This is a story-driven adventure game that depicts the complex relationship between a human and a "Tobari"—a monster that preys on people.
Play as the alchemist "Nagi," gathering materials deep in the forest to create an elixir. Lurking nearby is a Tobari whom you found injured in those very woods. Grateful for being treated, the Tobari wishes to "become close" with the alchemist… but…
He also wants to eat Nagi.
The Medicine You Seek Lies Beyond the Veil
The reason she tends to a monster despite the danger: to obtain a clue toward the elixir she desperately seeks.
Players use gathered materials to explore a mysterious "workbench" and craft a variety of items. Each item carries the apothecary's thoughts, offering glimpses into this mystery-laden world.
A final push will lead you to that elixir.
