Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – October 2, 2025 – The House of Hamelin, the horror-themed deckbuilding roguelike from developer and publisher Wither Studios, the team that made IMMURE and directed by the creator of the dark adventure game Sally Face, brings dastardly deck-building gameplay to Steam Next Fest.
Enter the frightful world of The House of Hamelin and take control of Perdita, a young woman tasked with finding her missing cat, Paige, in a house where ghastly creatures and serpentine, ever-changing hallways make each step a horrific fight for survival.
Build a collection of strange cards and use them against the creatures that stalk Perdita from the darkness. Engage in terrifying turn-based card combat where lurid abominations demonstrate shockingly intelligent strategies. Build two different card decks, a main spell deck and a more powerful, but limited-use ritual deck to crush the creatures preventing Perdita’s progress through the house. Battle the gang of gruesome foes in long, foreboding hallways, where clever use of stamina makes all the difference between survival or being caught by monsters.
Explore the haunted surroundings of the Hamelin house with point and click gameplay, and discover new cards and hidden treasures within the creepy halls and rooms of the house. Collect hair (yes, hair) to trade with a woman in the walls who will gladly trade them for valuable items from her junk drawer. Each horrifying discovery and each creepy encounter move Perdita closer to finding her feline friend. Be warned, however, death is permanent in the House of Hamelin, with each new attempt featuring new cards, enemies, and layouts in a twisted, highly replayable nightmare.

The House of Hamelin demo is available today via Steam Next Fest. House of Hamelin will launch into Early Access at a later date for PC via Steam.
