Solo Developer Announces "Max Bid," an Incremental Game About Bidding on Black-Market Containers

Tbilisi, Georgia — [9/22/2026]

Solo developer OkoruDev today announced Max Bid, an incremental game about running a shady device that lets you bid on black-market containers and flip whatever you find inside for profit. The Steam page and announce trailer are live now, with a full release planned for Q1 2027.

Max Bid is an incremental game where you operate a device to bid on black-market containers. Sell the goods for profit. Upgrade your device for bigger payouts, automate the process, and chase the big scores hidden behind sealed containers.

You never really know what's in a container until you win it. Outbid your rivals and see what tumbles out. Some of it's junk, some of it's broken and needs fixing up, and some of it's worth a small fortune. Repair and sell it off, and watch the coins pile up. Then do it again, but bigger. As you make money, you upgrade the device, boost your luck, and eventually automate the whole operation so it hums along on its own while you chase even bigger scores. Every so often you'll pull a sealed treasure container, where you crack a safe's code for a shot at the jackpot.

The whole thing plays out on a clunky, hand-operated machine with a dark retro look, wrapped in a grimy underground world. It's easy to pick up, satisfying to poke at, and quietly hard to put down.
Max Bid is the first commercial release from OkoruDev, a self-taught solo developer.

A quote from the developer:
"I've started and abandoned more games than I can count over the years. Max Bid is the one that finally crossed the line. I picked an incremental partly because it was a genre I could actually finish, and partly because I'm addicted to the genre myself. The idea goes way back to a show I watched as a kid about container auctions. There was something about the gamble of bidding on a sealed container without knowing what was inside that always stuck with me, and it became the backbone of the whole game."

About the Developer
Max Bid is made by OkoruDev, a solo developer based in Tbilisi, Georgia. Self-taught from a young age, he spent years starting and abandoning projects, from a horror game to a boomer shooter to a roguelite, before finally shipping one with Max Bid. He made around 90% of the game's assets himself and drew all the art by hand, with no AI involved at any stage. Max Bid, an incremental about bidding on black-market containers and flipping the loot inside, is his first commercial release.
