NewGen Studio today announced a major milestone update for North Hunt, its upcoming multiplayer social deception game set in a Norse-inspired world. The latest development phase represents a radical improvement across core systems, reinforcing North Hunt’s position as a true evolution of the studio’s breakout hit, West Hunt.
Rather than iterating on the original formula, North Hunt has been significantly reworked across visuals, user experience, and online systems, resulting in a smoother, clearer, and more expressive gameplay experience.
A New Visual Identity
North Hunt now features a completely reimagined art direction, moving away from the blocky character models of West Hunt toward a more detailed and expressive style. The updated visuals improve readability during tense deception moments while strengthening immersion in the game’s Norse setting.
Rebuilt Matchmaking for Faster Play
The matchmaking system has been overhauled to provide faster, more reliable access to matches. Players can now jump into games with less friction, making North Hunt more accessible for casual sessions while remaining robust for competitive play.
Full UI/UX Redesign
Every major interface element, menus, HUD, and overall flow, has been redesigned from the ground up. The new UI prioritizes clarity, legibility, and ease of use, allowing players to focus on strategy, deception, and social interaction rather than navigation.
Together, these improvements mark a decisive step forward for the project, reflecting NewGen Studio’s commitment to long-term polish, technical stability, and player-focused design.
