IDEA FACTORY (President of the Board: Yoshiteru Sato / Headquarters: Tokyo, Toshima-ku), known for their established story-driven OTOMATE and COMPILE HEART games, is proud to announce the creation of a new brand, IFChronicle.
Live Another Life at Dawn.
The brand was named after the contraction of IDEA FACTORY, ‘IF,’ as many ifs and possibilities exist within branching storylines.
Furthermore, ‘chronicle’ is defined as an account of events and stories told in chronological order and recorded over time.
Put together, they express the intent to move forward with a wealth of story genres, universes, and far-reaching possibilities.
As a Japan-based globalized brand, IFChronicle will strive to bring story-rich games to the world through visual novels and other narrative-driven titles.
IFChronicle’s inaugural title will be ICONOLOGY. Character designs are by Teita, whose wide-ranging experience as an artist and character designer includes Fate/Grand Order and CharadeManiacs. Makoto Fukami, whose works include the PSYCHO-PASS anime series, RESIDENT EVIL: VENDETTA, and RESIDENT EVIL:DEATH ISLAND serves as the scenario writer.

A manga depicting the world of ICONOLOGY will start serialization ahead of the game release in the October 14th 2026 issue of ‘comic HOWL’ (ICHIJINSHA Inc.).
The manga adaptation is brought to you by ichi sayo, who also worked on the Ensemble Stars! adaptation.

■The Story of ICONOLOGY
In a not so distant future...
In order to combat the rapid rise of increasingly complex and brutal criminal activity, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department established a special, top-secret division known as the Experimental Task Force.
Their secret weapon: a cutting-edge apparatus, the White Cube, capable of rendering a suspect’s thoughts in the form of cognitive paintings.
However, deciphering the truth from abstract mental landscapes requires special talent...
Haruho Tsubakiya is an Art School university student whose parents were brutally murdered ten years ago in a crime which remains unsolved to this day. Her burning desire to find the truth and get revenge driving her forward, she is recognized for her talent in deciphering cognitive paintings, and is recruited by the Task Force as a Special Investigator.
Thus the investigation begins on a second crime scene—the suspect’s own subconscious.
