LONDON - 10th August - Indie studio HandCircus (http://www.handcircus.com), today announced the return of their classic game series Rolando, which will be rolling onto Steam in the lovingly remastered Rolando Deluxe in time for the series’ 15 year anniversary. Rolando is a much-loved and multiple-award winning puzzle-platformer that helped define the iPhone as a gaming platform. Rolando Deluxe has seen the team go back to the drawing board to reinvent the experience for new platforms, taking the opportunity to add even more polish and richness to the bright and colourful world of Rolando.

“It’s the game that started my career in games and means so much to us as a studio. After a three-year adventure in toy design as Play Invention Director at LEGO, I’m super happy to be back to making indie games and it’s been a real joy having the opportunity to reopen the book and think about how we could bring the Rolando experience to a whole new audience.” said Simon Oliver, founder of HandCircus.
Rolando Deluxe has been thoroughly remastered, building on the much loved colour and vibrancy of the original release with oodles of visual enhancements, polish, redesign of levels and a full revamp of the core design for these new platforms.
“In addition to remastering the visual side of the experience, we did so much experimentation when we started the project to make the game feel completely at home on Steam and we’re overjoyed with how it turned out, it feels like a completely new game.” added Oliver. “It really is the ultimate Rolando experience, hence the new title, Rolando Deluxe!”.
