Among Us VR Sneaks Past 1 Million Units Sold Milestone

Today, Innersloth, Schell Games, and Robot Teddy announced Among Us VR reached 1 million units sold less than ten weeks after launch.

“It’s been awesome to see the community’s response to Among Us VR, and we’re so grateful to have reached this milestone so quickly,” said Victoria Tran, Community Director for Innersloth. “From the number of minutes played to countries represented by the playerbase, we love that the community is engaged and growing.”

“We’re thrilled to celebrate this milestone, and doing so in less than 10 weeks is a victory for all the cross-company work that went into bringing an award-winning game to VR audiences,” said Mike Futter, Co-Director, Strategic Partnerships of Robot Teddy. “We’re so grateful for the partnership and camaraderie that our teams exhibit, and we’re excited to continue making the VR adaptation the very best it can be.”

Since Among Us VR launched on November 10, 2022:

  • The game has been played more than 4 million times
  • On average, 44,000 matches are held per day
  • More than 89,100,000 minutes have been dedicated to tasks, sabotages, and betrayal
  • Crewmates are joining the Skeld II from across the globe, representing 122 different countries

In December 2022, Among Us VR published a 2023 roadmap outlining future updates for the game, including new maps, custom lobby settings, and improved accessibility features. In-game reporting and voice chat moderation is also in the works to improve player safety.

“Crewmates, we hear you. Please keep the feedback coming. In the meantime, we can’t thank you enough for the time and enthusiasm you all have invested in Among Us VR,” said Jennifer Rabbitt Lead Producer for Among Us VR and Senior Producer at Schell Games. “We’re working hard to implement the features the community wants the most, and we can’t wait to show you what’s in store for 2023.”

Among Us VR is available for $9.99 USD on Meta Quest Store, Rift, and Steam stores. Players can customize their Bean with the Hat Pack: Crewmate Favorites for $3.99 USD. Visit the Among Us VR website, join the Discord server, follow the game on Twitter, or view the press kit for more information.
