Zordix Gaming Group Names Christina Seelye Chief Executive Officer

Matti Larsson to serve as Director of Innovation

Umeå, Sweden and Walnut Creek, Calif., USA (February 18, 2022) - Christina Seelye, founder and CEO of global video game publisher Maximum Games, has been appointed CEO of Swedish gaming group Zordix AB (publ) (“Zordix”) today, in an announcement that comes less than three months after Zordix acquired Maximum Games. Seelye brings over 20 years of experience in strategic development and executive leadership in the tech and games industry and will continue to serve as CEO of Maximum Games. Former CEO of Zordix, Matti Larsson, will continue to support the group as Director of Innovation.

Leading Zordix, Seelye plans for continued growth, while focusing on the strengths of the individual brands under the Zordix group. Those, in addition to Maximum Games, include Dimfrost Studio, Invictus Games, Modus Games, Modus Studios, Merge Games, Just For Games, Zordix Racing and Mane6. Seelye will retain her CEO role at Maximum Games, while promoting EVP of Marketing, Shane Bierwith, to president of the company.

“I am extremely pleased to join Zordix as CEO and look forward to making significant strides,” said Seelye. “I started Maximum Games in 2009 and it’s been incredible to see the progress that is possible with vision and hard work. Matti Larsson achieved a similar feat and his success in positioning Zordix as a competitor in the AA gaming space is inspiring.”

“I have had a fantastic time at Zordix as founder and CEO and feel proud to have built a global video game group,” said Larsson. “This shift is a natural next step that serves to secure the execution of our growth. I have decided to take up another role within the group and hand over the baton to Christina, who will take the company to a new level.”

In November 2021 Zordix announced the purchase of Maximum Games in a move to strengthen the company’s positioning as a leader in AA game publishing. Partnering with best-in-class game creators and franchises around the world (Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Among Us, Five Nights at Freddy’s™), Maximum Games is a full-service video game publisher and distributor with over 300 titles in its catalogue and operates publisher Modus Games (Super Animal Royale, Cris Tales, and Trine 4), as well as Modus Studios development team. In January of 2022 Maximum Games acquired Mane6, the development studio behind Them’s Fightin’ Herds®, a 2D fighting game featuring a cast of characters designed by acclaimed cartoon producer Lauren Faust (producer and developer for "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic"; creator, director, and developer for "Super Best Friends Forever").
