Small Spaces — A relaxing interior design game about making the most of less

Berlin, Germany – May 21, 2025

Small Spaces is a relaxing game about designing beautiful, small apartments you'd want to live in. Let your creativity flow from a simplistic flat in Tokyo to an industrial loft in New York. Your only limit is the space itself.

Developed by Berlin-based solo dev Niklas Tomkowitz, Small Spaces is about making limited spaces feel beautiful, harmonious, and truly individual — the kind of places you’d actually want to live in.

Small Spaces is releasing on May 27, 2025 — review keys are available now!

Key Features

Create beautiful apartments you'd want to live in

Each level is inspired by real architectural styles from around the world, offering its own layout and mood. You’ll go from industrial New York lofts to sleek Tokyo flats to raw industrial New York lofts — with every location sparking new design ideas and inviting personal expression.

Full creativity, limited space

No scores, timers or puzzles. Just hundreds of furniture pieces, lighting options and material finishes. From hidden storage to layered textiles, players are free to explore design ideas in detail — within the cozy constraints of a small apartment.

Don't think, just do

Add indirect lighting. Place a plant. Move the table — again. Small Spaces is designed to remove friction from the act of creating. It’s intuitive, meditative, and satisfying. A perfect game for players who love building in The Sims, but want a slower, more focused experience.

“It’s rare to find a game that understands beauty as something personal and intuitive,” says Jakub Radkowski from Pretty Soon, the game’s publisher. “Small Spaces captures that — it’s quiet, confident, and deeply creative.”
