SEOUL – Aug. 20, 2020 – The hit Summer Series of intriguing stories and epic events culminates in a final episode in Destiny Child, the popular mobile gacha waifu collector game. Beginning today, players can enjoy the warm season with “Tamamo’s Tale,” which delivers spicy new characters, Soul Cartas, a World Boss Trial, and more. The third installment of the Summer Series is available now for free on both the App Store and Google Play.
From now until after server maintenance on Monday, Aug. 31, the latest World Boss Trial opens for players to test their grit to collect valuable rewards against the Fire-Type Nine-Tailed Fox, Tamamo. The two Counter Childs available for battle include the 5★ Water-Type Debuffer “Flower of Justice Mafdet” and 5★ Water-Type Attacker “Leaping Salome,” perfect for fighting Tamamo’s flames. Both new Childs are available to be collected and befriended for future battles.
In addition to the World Boss Trial, from now until Thursday, Sept. 3, players can experience the new Scenario Dungeon. The Dungeon tells the tale of Keino, who is worried about the ghost story that may hurt the guest house business. She asks Master for a favor and Master’s party encounters Tamamo and discovers the tragedy of the beautiful Tamamo buried in time.
To celebrate the culmination of the Summer Event series, two new Soul Cartas are also available, including the 5★ Beach Buffet and 5★ Summer Vacation. Both Cartas exist in card form and can be used to not only give added visual flair, but also delivers unique boosts and special powers to each Child’s basic stats.
Since its launch in late 2018, Destiny Child has mesmerized audiences with gorgeously-rendered Live2D playable characters, all ready to be collected, customized, and evolved. In this action-packed role-playing game (RPG), players must strategically select from several hundred-strong rosters of ‘Childs,’ and engage in player vs. player (PvP), Raid, and World Boss combat to claim victory. All Childs boast unique powers and intriguing backstories, with beautiful cutscenes brought to live with legendary voice actors and actresses.
