The sci-fi factory automation game Dyson Sphere Program officially reveals the long-waited combat system in a 8 minutes gameplay trailer. The major update focused on combat is called Rise of the Dark Fog, which is scheduled to be released in 2023.

In this trailer, players’ enemy, the Dark Fog makes its first public appearance. The Dark Fog brings a new balance system threat level to the game, players’ behaviour such as production and power generation will raise the level. Once it reaches a certain level, the Dark Fog will begin to attack players. Also the threat level influence the difficulty of each battle, so players can change the dynamic difficulty of fighting the Dark Fog by intervening in the threat level.
Well, that said how to balance the threat level will be a new task for all the players. For those who only want to enjoy a relaxed farming experience in the galaxy, it’s able to go with Peace mode, where the Dark Fog will leave you alone unless being attacked.
The developer Youthcat Studio initially planned to add the combat system to the game this year, however due to the development difficulties the team had to delay the major update to 2023, a specific date to be determined yet. The good news is the delay will not affect the update of existing content. Dyson Sphere Program is set to update their logistics and distribution system in late September, to allow players more convenience with obtaining desired supplies from complicated production lines.
