Pix’n Love Games and Aurora Game Studio are proud to announce the upcoming Kickstarter launch of Nightmare Busters Rebirth, scheduled for May 20, 2025. This modern reimagining of the cult 2D run ’n gun from the 90s invites players to dive into the fast-paced world of twins Flynn and Floyd, with all-new art direction, refined gameplay and, of course, plenty of surprises to unlock!

Playable demo

Attention unbridled action fans (and the curious!): a free playable demo will be available on Steam starting May 16. Players will get a first taste of the enchanting world ofNightmare Busters Rebirth through a first game zone filled with enemies… and a thrilling boss battle!

A reinvented classic

Originally developed for the Super Nintendo, Nightmare Busters has become a cult game over the years among retro-gaming and tough challenge lovers. With Nightmare Busters Rebirth, the development team brings this iconic game up to date with hand-drawn HD graphics, an original soundtrack, a brand-new combo system, and much more!

A crowdfunding campaign for a fan-driven project

Launching on May 20, the Kickstarter campaign will offer backers a host of exclusive collector's rewards: a physical edition of Nightmare Busters Rebirth for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation, the Ultimate Edition of Nightmare Busters on Super Nintendo cartridge, a behind-the-scenes artbook, game-inspired goodies, and even more surprises!

This campaign is above all an opportunity for video game lovers and retro-gaming fans to make their voices heard by helping shape the future of this independent project.
