July 10, 2025 — VEOM Studio and Publisher Crytivo are proud to present the long-awaited major update to the lunar automation factory building game The Crust. Having released the previous year in 2024 into Early Access, the studio has been working hard on continuing the game’s development. The Crust’s update brings four new modules, new resources, new sandbox customization options, conveyor belt redesigns, and a lot more optimizations, quality of life adjustments, and more.

For fans of the automation genre, this top-down factory builder combines colonist management with automated production lines carried out by drones, power networks, and funded through the contract system. With the four new modules, Transport Canon, Biogenerator, AI Center, and Data Processing Node, along with the ability to create outposts for Helium-3 mining, players can expand their lunar endeavors across the surface of the moon. Along with this expansion, players can also construct their own drones and either put them to work or turn them for a profit in the market.

 

With even more added to the game, both new and returning players are invited to the moon to check out the latest update ahead of the Automation Fest on Steam and check out the new trailer showcasing all the updated features available to play NOW.
