NETMARBLE OPENS RECRUITMENT FOR 2ND CLOSE BETA TEST OF MONGIL: STAR DIVE

New Game Content Revealed Including Episode 2 Storyline, Daisy Character Introduction, and Expanded Monsterling Gameplay

LOS ANGELES – SEPTEMBER 17, 2025 – Netmarble, a leading developer and publisher of high-quality games, announced the second closed beta test (CBT) recruitment is now open for its upcoming action RPG MONGIL: STAR DIVE, currently in development by Netmarble Monster.

The second CBT will take place from September 30 to October 10 on PC platforms via the Netmarble Launcher and Epic Games Store. Players who are interested in participating can apply through the official MONGIL: STAR DIVE website until September 29.

This test will unveil Episode 2 of the main storyline, highlighting the adventures of members of the 9th Brigade of the Solar Knights, including Esther, Flare, and Reina. As the narrative deepens, the hidden force behind the corruption that drives once-cute monsters into rage will gradually be revealed. In addition, players will be introduced to the new character Daisy for the very first time. While Daisy’s full debut is scheduled for Episode 3 and not part of this CBT, players can still get an early look at her during this test.

A key feature debuting in this CBT is the Monsterling Link Chain system. Monsterling, which is one of the unique systems in MONGIL: STAR DIVE, allows players to capture, collect, and equip adorable monsters as keychains. With Monsterling Link Chain, Monsterlings evolve beyond simple equipment, offering effects such as skill activation. Players can also enjoy new Monsterling-based minigames such as Monster Racing.

More than 30 new Monsterlings and a new raid boss “Amon,” will be introduced. Players can explore new dungeons to enhance skills and artifacts, and utilize collected resources in newly added cooking and crafting systems.

“The 2nd CBT will showcase a wide range of new content for the very first time, allowing players to experience the core gameplay of MONGIL: STAR DIVE,” said Jung Ho Lee, Game Publishing Director at Netmarble, and added “We place the highest priority on user feedback and encourage all participants to share their thoughts.”

As the highly anticipated sequel to the beloved 2013 mobile RPG Monster Taming, MONGIL: STAR DIVE features Unreal Engine 5-powered visuals, real-time tag-based combat with three-character parties, and a monster-taming system that allows players to capture, synthesize, and equip creatures as companions. The title will be released globally on both PC and mobile platforms in the second half of 2025. Global pre-registration is currently available via the official website, Epic Games Store, Google Play, and the App Store.

Netmarble will also showcase MONGIL: STAR DIVE at Tokyo Game Show 2025, which kicks off on September 25 in Japan. For more details, visit the official brand site, the Epic Games Store, and the game’s official social media channels.
