January 8, 2024 - Hooded Horse is excited to bring the latest news from the frontlines of NEBULOUS: Fleet Command, as development of the highly anticipated Conquest mode crosses the halfway point. Eridanus Industries released another dev diary revealing the latest batch of new mechanics.
The third phase of this exciting new mode's development is nearly complete, and players can see newly finished mechanics such as faction trait modifiers and additional campaign generation features, how officers will work in Conquest, and some specific ways in which skirmish battles will be handled differently versus typical multiplayer matches. For example, when one side wins, the losing side has the opportunity to try to withdraw its ships from the battlespace; otherwise, they’ll be left behind and lost.
The final pieces of Phase 3 include capturing space stations, new hull designs for logistical ships, and the mechanics around replenishment while on the move, which are all due to be completed over the next couple of months. Then it’s on to Phase 4!
NEBULOUS: Fleet Command is available on PC via Steam Early Access for $19.99 / £17.99 / 19.99 EUR / ¥2480.00. A press kit is available.
