Irene. The Window, an IRL video call story - Free demo out now

Hey, someone’s calling you! It’s Irene, your friend back from college. She’s happy to see you, eager to tell you all about her life, and ready listen to you rant about your own. Life decisions, exes, guilty pleasures - it’s all fair game. The chats occasionally turn into simple real-life activities, from writing on actual paper to touching actual grass. Maybe you’ll even find out why she crashed back into your world after all these years - and what’s eating at her inside…

This is   Irene. The Window , a cozy game combining a carefully written story in the form of video calls and wholesome IRL tasks. The game is developed by The Right Words, a two-person family studio.

Main features:

  • a story told over 10 video calls, both feel-good and bittersweet
  • hand-drawn graphics and traditional frame-by-frame animations
  • real-life tasks that help with internet addiction and anxiety
  • goofy minigames for those who prefer the real world
A free demo of the game is already out and accessible on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3484890/Irene_The_Window/

Irene. The Window is slated for release in early 2026. You can follow the updates on the studio’s Twitter/X page: https://x.com/RightWordsGames
