The Nintendo Switch and Xbox version of Mousebusters is now available with a launch discount for the first week of release.
In this cute and spooky horror adventure, our protagonist moves into an apartment complex and is suddenly transformed into a mouse! The protagonist must team up with the mysterious mentor only known as the Chief to exorcise the evil spirits lurking throughout the building.
Looking at the world through the eyes of mice, players will explore the rooms of the building’s colorful residents and corner the evil spirits through various interactive challenges and minigames. Armed with a raygun from the Chief, players will participate in EEB (Exciting Exorcism Battles) to exorcise spirits, cancelling out their attacks while targeting their weak points.
As a lighthearted pixel art adventure, the game features a variety of minigames, parodies, and entertaining banter with the Chief. The shooting-based battle sections also include difficulty options, making the game accessible even to players who are not familiar with action games.
New Features Galore!
Even though Mousebusters has been released on mobile previously, this new version includes a variety of different quality-of-life enhancements:
- In-game maps and locations have been redrawn to support horizontal screen orientation.
- New mini-games have been added inside the residents’ rooms, designed around the idea of being a mouse in a house. Try activities like making cup noodles, operating a TV, brand-new rhythm games and puzzles, and a whole lot more!
- Revamped shooting game mechanics have been implemented to take advantage of the bigger screen size, featuring battles where you cancel out enemy bullet patterns while aiming for their weak points.
- Overall presentation has been significantly enhanced alongside a fresh translation filled to the brim with new dialogue.
