City Transport Simulator: Bus is now heading to consoles

After its successful launch on PC, City Transport Simulator: Bus will be released on October 7, 2025 for consoles. From this date on, players will be able to experience the world of public transport on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, taking a seat behind the wheel themselves.

“We are very excited that CTS: Bus will soon be available on consoles,” says Ansgar Blauth, CEO of NPLAY. “Especially on PlayStation and Xbox there is a passionate community for simulation games. We are convinced that CTS: Bus will find just as many fans there as it did on PC.”

The development team is also looking forward to the launch: “The console release is a real milestone for us,” says Daniel Buda, CEO of Vienna-based development studio ViewApp GmbH. “We put a lot of heart and soul into the implementation to ensure that players really feel like they are sitting in the driver’s seat – with all the details that make everyday operations so special.”

City Transport Simulator: Bus stands out clearly from traditional driving simulations. The buses are officially licensed and feature authentic sounds. Fully interactive cockpits and a specially developed driving physics system make every trip feel as realistic as possible, as if you were actually behind the wheel.

One particularly exciting feature is the line editor: players can create their own routes, name stops, and even record custom announcements – something never seen before in this form. The lively game world is further enhanced by AI-controlled trams and buses, bringing the city to life, as well as customizable bus shelters that make the environment feel even more authentic.

Those who prefer full freedom can play in sandbox mode, while challenge seekers can take on the career mode with its level system, gradually building up their own transport company – all the way to creating a bus empire. The close integration with the tram module also makes CTS: Bus unique within the genre.

Upon release on October 7, City Transport Simulator: Bus will be available in several editions. Players can choose between a Starter Edition, an extended Gold Edition, and other versions. All editions include officially licensed buses; the more extensive editions add additional vehicles to further enrich the gameplay experience.
