September 19, 2025 - Hooded Horse and Minakata Dynamics are excited to announce that their cat-and-mouse city builder Whiskerwood will release into early access for PC on November 6, 2025. It will launch via Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store, as well as be available via PC Game Pass (Game Preview) on day one.
Establish a home for the industrious mice in new, untamed lands in this city builder featuring complex simulations, intricate production chains, and the age-old rivalry between cat and mouse. Carve mountains, traverse seas, and explore untamed new lands as you build grand cities, establishing elaborate automation systems to efficiently run complex production chains, all while dealing with the ever-increasing demands of the Claws, the cat overlords who reign supreme with their oppressive paws.
Anyone wanting to get a taste of what's to come can download the free demo, available today, which will let players experience the opening acts of the game. Build up an initial colony, and suffer the burden of taxes imposed by the mice’s overbearing feline masters.
Whiskerwood will be localized from English into German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.
