Bloodthief sinks its fangs into Steam on September 22

Ultra-fast “boomer slasher” from debut developer Blargis blends parkour, melee carnage, and vampire fury

Bloodthief, the debut title from indie developer Blargis, launches September 22 on Steam.

Described as a boomer slasher, a brand-new genre combining old-school speed, high-skill melee combat, and modern movement mechanics, Bloodthief invites players to chain deadly parkour and vicious slashes into a relentless dance of momentum and carnage.

In Bloodthief, you play as a vampire whose thirst for blood fuels both speed and power. By drinking the blood of undead foes, you’ll unleash devastating abilities, parkour through hazardous dungeons, and carve your way through haunted castles at blistering pace.

Key features:

  • Boomer Slasher gameplay: A high-octane fusion of retro-inspired challenge and modern melee movement design
  • Momentum-fueled combat: Every attack feeds your momentum, letting you wall-run, vault, and dash through enemies without breaking flow
  • Vampiric power system: Blood isn’t just health, it’s your fuel for speed, abilities, and survival
  • Branching dungeons: Discover shortcuts, hidden loot, and powerful abilities across twisting, labyrinthine levels
  • Challenge and mastery: Built for players who love to speedrun, you will collect medals, race ghosts, and compete for the top time on the leaderboard

The Bloodthief demo is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese (BR), Polish, Russian, Chinese (Simplified), and Japanese.
