Antwerp, Belgium, October 7, 2025. Witsteen announced that its official Wheel of Time digital card game will move forward under a new title. The game is now called Heroes and Forsaken: The Wheel of Time Digital Card Game. The previous working title Battle for Randland is being retired.
“We asked players, creators, and partners for honest feedback. They gave it, and we listened,” said the Witsteen team. “Heroes and Forsaken says exactly what the experience is about. Choose your Leader, stand with the Light, or join the Forsaken. The name is clearer for fans and for newcomers.”
What changes today
The public title, store capsules, and logo are being updated across storefronts and social channels. Press materials, FAQs, and community posts will reflect the new name as the updates roll out.
What does not change
The game, the license, and the vision remain the same. Existing Steam wishlists and Google Play pre-registrations continue to count. Your interest carries forward to the new title.
Launch window update
To give the team time to finalize online services, balance cards, and polish presentation, Witsteen is shifting the release window to Q1 2026. This sequencing lets the studio deliver a better first experience for players and partners.
