Gozo, Malta – July 1, 2025 – 3Tower, the emotionally charged horror adventure from indie developer Wechselbalg Studio, has launched in Early Access on Itch.io. Atmospheric, deeply personal, and rich in narrative tension, 3Tower invites players to guard a haunted graveyard, where memories, madness, and mystery are buried deep beneath the soil.
A Very Personal Date
The release of 3Tower carries a powerful weight. Exactly ten years ago, on this day, Swen and his wife Jasmin lost their daughter Hailey, who passed away during childbirth.

3Tower is now available for PC via Itch.io, though not without some bittersweet caveats. Originally slated for release on June 18, the team at Wechselbalg Studio faced delays due to slow turnaround from Steam Support.
We will also release the game on Steam in the next two weeks, when they got they stuff together.

“This isn’t just a horror game,” says Swen Kalini, lead developer. “It’s a story about grief, memory, and finding meaning in the dark.”

“We chose this date not to mourn, but to create,” Swen explains. “We wanted to turn the hardest day of our lives into something new—something full of heart, art, and emotion. 3Tower is, in many ways, our way of honoring her.”What Awaits in the Graveyard

Despite the delay, the team pushed forward, and 3Tower is now live, with controller support and full Linux/Steam Deck compatibility coming in the next 2–3 months. Updates will be driven by community feedback.“The game was ready. Fully reviewed, fully playable. But Steam’s support queue for something as simple as store text edits held us back,” Swen shares. “It’s incredibly frustrating. We missed our planned release date, and that hurts—not just technically, but emotionally, given what the date means to us.”

A Commodore 64 Version? Yes. And It’s Out Now.
In a bold nod to gaming’s roots, Wechselbalg Studio has also developed a Commodore 64 version of 3Tower—and it’s already available on Itch.io.
“We grew up on the C64,” says Swen. “It’s part of our DNA. Bringing 3Tower to that machine isn’t just retro flair—it’s a tribute to our own gaming past, and to the ghosts of a different kind.”
Due to Steam’s limitations on distributing additional downloadable assets, the C64 version won’t be listed on the Steam page. Fans can head to Itch.io to experience this unique reinterpretation of the game in glorious 8-bit form.
