Tic Tactic transforms the familiar childhood game of tic-tac-toe into a roguelike deckbuilding puzzle battler filled with strategy, charm, and mystery where players battle against an army of chickens as a sole duck. Players face off in turn-based battles, using a tic-tac-toe board to deal damage by creating combos. Every move counts—the board doesn’t clear, meaning mistakes linger and opportunities stack. Each run brings new enemies, environments, and narrative discoveries as players push further into the strange, chicken-infested lands and uncover the truth of what happened at the Duck Pond.
Across nine regions, players will encounter more than 40 enemies, collect over 60 unique tiles, and wield more than a dozen weapons. From shopkeepers and item-filled encounters to collectible outfits and quirky characters, Tic Tactic offers a layered adventure where every run is unique. Positioning tiles becomes the key to victory, as players create devastating patterns to unleash attacks, disrupt enemy strategies, and trigger dazzling chain reactions.
The roguelike progression system ensures no two runs feel the same, with procedurally generated challenges, powerful rewards, and a global leaderboard that fuels competition. The top five players are showcased directly inside the game, while the rest of the rankings can be tracked through the Steam Community tab—so everyone can see exactly where they stand as the competition shifts.
“The idea started simple—tic-tac-toe—but I wanted to layer in strategy, depth, and challenge until it became something new,” said unbreaded. “It’s not just about what tile you play, but where you play it. That multi-layered strategy, combined with the roguelike challenge and a leaderboard that keeps players coming back, makes it feel truly unique. And as a solo developer, most of it was programmed while I sat on the floor by my bed with a laptop.”
