Wrocław, July 1st, 2025 - Whitemoon Games has just launched The Other Side - a story-oriented update to their isometric-view MMORPG, Broken Ranks. Players will become recruits of the hostile Utor but it’s worth remembering that this means not only discovering their world from the inside, it’s also an inner struggle against temptations.
The developers decided to do something new, because so far the game hasn’t given players too many details on the hostile Utor. Of course, they know it’s a ruthless invader who occupied Taern, deprived them of their homeland, family… And yes, as the story progressed, players encountered many Utorians and their schemes, but they don’t know their world, their motivations, and what drives them.
The studio said that this time players would play as ordinary recruits of the Utorian army, get to know the everyday life of the soldiers, the chain of command, and a complex network of relationships and ambitions that may prove an opportunity… or their doom. In addition to that, they’ll become eye-witnesses to the gruesome experiments of Utorian archmages. Take up the challenge, show your smarts, willpower, and resistance to temptations.

With the update, players will also get themed skins that reflect the aesthetics of the Utorian army and the atmosphere of the new content. Helmet of the Silent can be obtained by completing the new chapter of the storyline while Body Armor of the Silent can be purchased from the store.

Broken Ranks is the successor to the MMORPG The Pride of Taern. It boasts a unique, turn-based combat system and a grim, low-fantasy world seen from an isometric view. The title is reminiscent of such classics as the HoM&M series or Baldur's Gate. Adventurers will be able to find a lot of story-driven quests and a vast, interesting world ready to be explored alone, in a group, or with guildmates.
