Pittsburgh, PA – October 1, 2025 – The gaming ghouls and pixelated phantoms at Mega Cat Studios alongside Exquisite Laundry Pet are excited to ring in the spooky season with a haunting Halloween treat. The demo for their upcoming 8-bit RPG, Gumball in Trick-or-Treat Land, is now available on Steam, offering players a fun and festive taste of the game ahead of its official release in Q1 2026.
Like a pillowcase filled to the brim with candy, Gumball in Trick-or-Treat Land’s demo is jam-packed with craveable content. Guide Gumball, the game’s chewable champion, as he explores Trick-or-Treat Land, mingles with the colorful cast of candy cornfolk from Corndale, battles the belligerent Boysenberry Boys, and even crosses paths with one angry arachnid. In addition to this content, the demo includes an all-new, never-before-seen section created specifically for Steam Next Fest for players to experience.
“I'm really excited to announce that there's a brand new demo for Gumball in Trick-or-Treat Land coming to Steam October 1st!” said the game’s creator, Adam Lewis Graf. “There's like an hour of all-new, demo-exclusive content after the main objective is complete, and it was a really fun opportunity to flesh out the backstory of some of the side characters a little more and to design a new dungeon! I think it really gives a sense of how the full version of the game feels once you get beyond the tutorial-style areas, and it's full of fun little surprises!”
To celebrate the launch, Exquisite Laundry Pet’s Adam Lewis Graf released a trailer highlighting the new content featured in the demo.
