Steam Festival Simfest 2023 Begins Today

The simulation themed event from Auroch Digital and Stray Fawn Studio runs July 20th – 24th 

Bristol, UK: Auroch Digital and Stray Fawn Studio have announced that the simulation-focused festival, Simfest, will be making its return to Steam from today, July 20th through the 24th.

With over 100 titles involved, Steam users will have the chance to experience discounts across some of the latest and greatest simulation games, in addition to seeing what the future holds for the genre with highlighted coming soon titles.

>From real-life sims to building, resource management, driving, and farming sims, all aspects of simulations will be showcased throughout the festival. Established hits such as Disney Dreamlight Valley, PC Building Simulator, Transport Fever 2, and Human: Fall Flat will be joined by exciting upcoming titles such as Manor Lords, Laysara: Summit Kingdom, Airborne Empire, Mars Horizon 2: The Search for Life, and Solarpunk.


Announcements During Simfest

To coincide with Simfest, several participating titles have special announcements to make:

 

Simfest debuted in 2022 with Hobby Edition, where Auroch Digital partnered with Steam to run the event. Last year’s event featured a variety of talks and panels, whereas this year’s festival will be focused on highlighting released and upcoming simulation games via the Steam Store. Simfest 2023 is the first time Auroch Digital and Stray Fawn Studio have partnered for an event, having recently ran Digital Tabletop Fest 3: Blood & Dice and Earth Appreciation Festival respectively.

About Auroch Digital

Auroch Digital is part of the Sumo PLC Group. They are a small game development studio based in Bristol, UK and founded in 2010. The studio works on original titles, partnerships, and work-for-hire projects, specialising in strategy and digital tabletop games, working with the likes of Games Workshop and Ndemic Creations. Auroch also has an interest in making games that relate to and deal with real-world issues.

About Stray Fawn Studio

Stray Fawn Studio is a ten person indie game studio based in Zurich, Switzerland. The company focuses on developing their own projects which are often situated in the simulation game genre. Procedural content generation and the simulation of living worlds form the core of the studio’s creations. Stray Fawn was founded by Micha Stettler, a space enthusiastic software engineer and Philomena Schwab, a biology loving game designer.
In 2023 the studio expanded into indie game publishing and is now supporting other developers on their journey.
