Spooky slice-of-life camping game Cozy Grove is coming to the Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation on April 8th!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SEATTLE, WA - March 24th, 2021 - Developer Spry Fox (Alphabear, Triple Town, Road Not Taken) is excited to announce that Cozy Grove is releasing April 8th, 2021. In conjunction with The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild, the game will be landing on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One & Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation® 4 & PlayStation® 5 on April 8th for $14.99 USD with a 10% discount. A limited edition cosmetic pack featuring three costumes is available exclusively for Nintendo Switch pre-orders starting March 25th. Cozy Grove is rated E10+ by the ESRB.

Cozy Grove is a game about everyday life on an island paradise - that's haunted! As a spirit scout, it's your job to help the spectral inhabitants with their afterlives. You'll build a camp, make friends with the characters, and bring color back by decorating. Explore the forest every day to find new items to craft and areas to explore. Embark on quests tied to your relationships with the various spirits, decorate and customize your camp, and make the island your own! With procedurally generated changes and a living world to keep you company, you'll never run out of fun new things to do or collect. With a bit of time, a little love, and a lot of crafting you'll bring color and joy back to Cozy Grove!

"Cozy Grove is ultimately intended to become a game that you comfortably settle into," shares Spry Fox CEO, David Edery. "It doesn't make you feel like you need to play for 8 hours in a single sitting to "maximize" your experience, and it doesn't make you feel like you've seen everything there is to see in a few days either. We want Cozy Grove to become a delightful ritual that you look forward to every day, and for it to remain that way for many weeks, months and possibly even years. When everything else in your life might be chaotic, Cozy Grove will hopefully be a place you can predictably and regularly find a bit of joy."

Key Features:
- Beautiful, dynamic, hand-drawn landscapes that come alive when you help a spirit in need.
- Dozens of memorable characters and spirits for you to find and befriend.
- Collectable spirit animals, craftable decorations, fishing, and more!
- 40+ hour campaign filled with side quests, designed to span months of playtime.

- "There isn't anything like this out and to be honest, that alone should make you add this to your [gaming] wishlist right away." - Kate Sanchez, But Why Tho Podcast
- "It's the videogame equivalent of a big smile." - Patrick Klepek, Waypoint
- "I can already tell that I'll be sinking many days into this haunted island and its adorable ghost bears." - Rachel Watts, PC Gamer

About The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild:
We've always been indie, and we want to give indie studios the deals they deserve. The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild was founded in 2011 and received global critical acclaim for our early titles 'The Bridge' and 'Tumblestone.' In 2019, we focused on collaborating with indie developers publishing on PC and consoles to provide opportunities on every platform available. Recently publishing 'Space Otter Charlie' and 'Breakpoint' further expanded our library, adding puzzle platformer games and twin-stick action games to our catalogue. Look forward to award-winning games 'Sail Forth' and 'Freshly Frosted' releasing from QAG next year.

About Spryfox:
Spry Fox's motto is "make the world a better place." We try to do that through the games we make, whether that's by designing MMOs that encourage the development of friendships and discourage toxicity, or by designing our puzzle game, Alphabear 2, to promote English language learning. We're always asking ourselves "how does this game improve your life?" Spry Fox has been profitably making games for over 10 years. It was founded by David Edery and Daniel Cook, two well-known veteran game developers. Our breakout hit Triple Town kicked off the increasingly popular merge genre. Games include the award-winning Alphabear (word game), Alphabear 2 (word game), Realm of the Mad God (action MMO), Road Not Taken (puzzle rogue-like). Lately we've been focusing on life-sim games with Beartopia (idle MMO) and our upcoming Cozy Grove (life-sim). The Alphabear characters that show up in most of our games are recognized and loved by millions of players. We have experience with a variety of platforms including PC, console, mobile and VR. The studio is currently approximately 20 developers and we pride ourselves on avoiding crunch and maintaining a good work-life balance.
