Tokyo, Japan – October 27, 2026 – Developer npckc and publisher Viridian Software today announced that a pet shop after dark, the horror point-and-click adventure will launch on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on November 12, 2026 for $9.99 USD.
Your new job at the local pet shop sounds simple enough. Water the plants. Feed the pets. Stay the night. There's just one thing: DO NOT, under any circumstances, turn off the lights.
A seemingly simple night shift might just become something much stranger…
The original release was recognized for its unusual approach to storytelling, winning the WINGS Spotlight at BIG Festival 2023 and becoming a finalist for the festival's Innovation award. For consoles, its computer-based interactions have been reimagined through an in-game virtual desktop, preserving the game's unconventional structure in a form designed for console play.
“Reworking those interactions for consoles also gave us an opportunity to add a little more for returning players,” said npckc. “There are new diary entries and pieces of lore to uncover, so even if you've visited the pet shop before, there are still a few new things waiting to be found.”
