PENANCE DEMO NOW AVAILABLE ON STEAM AND AVAILABLE AT STEAM SCREAM V FEST

The psychological survival horror game from Furistic Studio and Kitsundie Tales launches its playable demo during Steam's Halloween-themed festival.

October 26, 2026 — PENANCE, the upcoming psychological survival horror game developed by Furistic Studio and published by Kitsundie Tales, has officially launched its playable demo on Steam, giving players the opportunity to experience its unsettling world during Steam Scream V Fest.

Set in a disturbing world where humanity's hopes of salvation have given way to something far more sinister, PENANCE follows Calen, a former ranger navigating a dangerous environment filled with mysteries and creatures that emerge at night. Combining psychological horror, atmospheric exploration, and narrative-driven gameplay, the game challenges players to confront the horrors lurking within a place that was supposed to save humanity.

The demo is available now on Steam, offering players their first opportunity to experience the game ahead of its planned full release in late February 2027.

Currently available in English only, the demo provides an opportunity for players to experience the game's atmosphere, narrative, and gameplay while helping the team identify areas for improvement. Players are encouraged to share their feedback and report any bugs or technical issues through the feedback form available in the game's menu or directly on the official Discord server.

Community feedback will help guide further polishing and refinement ahead of the full release.

What About the Full Version?

The full version of PENANCE is currently planned for release in late February 2027, following Steam Next Fest.

Furistic Studio and Kitsundie Tales are working towards delivering a polished and immersive survival horror experience, with a particular focus on narrative immersion, atmosphere, and gameplay mechanics. The full release is also planned to support additional languages, including German, French, Spanish (Latin American and European), and Portuguese (Brazilian and European), alongside English.

The team aims to ensure that players across different regions can experience the game's story and atmosphere in their preferred language.
