August 13, 2025 – Publisher Astrum Oyun announced today that its free-to-play arena shooter NCORE has launched its official Steam page and gearing up for a second alpha test of the high action shooter in Autumn 2025 . Players interested in participating in the upcoming alpha test can wishlist the game on Steam and subscribe for updates. Testers will also receive exclusive rewards at launch.
Set in the near future, NCORE depicts a world ruled by corporations, where the most popular entertainment is gladiator fights, which provide people with an opportunity to escape poverty and become living legends. The key feature of NCORE is its dynamic multi-arena, composed of hexes that players can freely switch during matches. Each hex is a self-contained world with a unique setting, ranging from a medieval village to a zombie-infested modern city. The game also introduces transformable weapons, allowing players to instantly switch between ranged and melee combat to match their strategy. Some hexes have special rules, allowing players to plan their tactics and adapt their play style.
NCORE was announced in November 2024, followed by its first alpha test in March 2025, which attracted over 20,000 players. The developers paid close attention to player feedback and returned with major updates, including a revamped shooting system, rebalanced weapons, PvP and PvE improvements, optimization, and numerous other gameplay enhancements.
The second alpha test for NCORE is scheduled for Autumn 2025. Players will be able to try the updated core mode, Token Hunt, where teams compete to collect and deposit the most tokens. Additionally, the tutorial system will be improved, and a new Statue of Liberty hex will be introduced along with the Katana sniper rifle, the boss weapon Thunder, and a new type of PvE enemy. The team is also working on an upgraded task system, player profile, and a variety of new customization items.
