SOUTH KOREA – April 29, 2026 – NEOWIZ today announced that its mobile idle game, Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe, has officially launched globally. The new title expands on the beloved IP of Cats & Soup, the relaxing idle game with over 80 million downloads worldwide. While retaining the warm art style and sentimentality unique to the original, this game also adds a new story, gameplay elements and new, never-before-seen looks for the cats.
"It is deeply meaningful for us to be able to present the official sequel to our fan-favorite Cats & Soup in an entirely new way,” stated a NEOWIZ representative. “Through this new spin on the IP, we look forward to offering players a fresh, cozy experience of living alongside their feline friends."
The core gameplay features a merge mechanic that showcases the adorable appearance and natural interactions of the original cats, along with a shared house system. Players can obtain Wishing Stars through merging and use them to create their own unique shared cat houses. In the completed house, players can enjoy the cats' relaxed, cheerful, and adorable daily lives in various ways, offering a charming gaming experience for both Cats & Soup fans and new players.
In addition to the previously released US, Canada, UK, and Indonesia, this global launch is simultaneously available in all regions worldwide except China, Vietnam, and Russia. The game supports six languages: Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified/Traditional), and Spanish (Latin America).
To celebrate the launch of Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe, the team has prepared generous rewards for players to redeem. Pre-registration rewards will include the Sakura Shorthair Cat from the original Cats & Soup game and an exclusive outfit. In addition, new player support items, such as the paid currencies Diamonds and Energy, will be distributed.
Furthermore, the team has planned various events, including a Sticker Book Season 1 Event, a Sunny Garden and Cat Event, a Special Sign-in Event and more, to give players a boost as they merge magical items to create delicious soups with their adorable cats.
